The Best Portrait Photography 2015 – Emma Louise Photography Kent
As mentioned in my previous posts – The Best Newborn Baby Photography – 2015 featuring a selection of my favourite Bump to Baby photography images, and The Best Wedding and Event Photography – 2015 featuring some of my very fondest images of you and your families celebrating your most memorable times together, it was such a busy year for me that I had to split my 2015 reviews into three posts. Now we’ve finally made it o the third where a selection of my very best portrait photography images of 2015 to feature below.
I know there was a slight delay between the first two posts and this one. As well as meeting lots of beautiful bumps and adorable babies recently, I’ve been busy honing my skills training with other like minded photographers, and due to a very poorly Nanna I’ve been spending lots of time with my family too. You know it’s at times like these that make you realise the true value of a photograph, there is much comfort to be had in well thumbed photo albums – it’s really important to ensure your loved ones are well documented in print as well as on a hard drive or smartphone screen.
A Photo-a-Day for 2016
I decided to have another go at a photo-a-day challenge too, which you can see on my Instagram feed. Nearly two months into 2016 and I’m still going, which is a record for me. I can’t promise that I’ll last all 366 days of this leap year but I’ll try my best.
Seasonal Portrait Photography
As you can see from some of the images here, we have to wait for seasons to roll around in order for some of nature’s finest backdrops to join us. Be it spring blossom and bluebells, the lavender and sunflowers of the summer, or even the crisp and crunchy autumn leaves, there really is never a “best” time to have your family portraits.
What I love so much about this small selection of the thousands of portraits I captured last year is that I know in each and every one of these images there is a genuine story behind the smile. There are parents behind me pulling funny faces to make the kids laugh, there are bonds between brothers and sisters developing before us, there are families freezing a never to be repeated moment in time as their portrait is taken.
These are your moments, and I’m so pleased that I captured them for you.
