Snow Day – Portrait Photographer Kent

“Issnowingissnowing!!”

…is what my 2 year old excitedly proclaimed last Friday morning, and boy hasn’t it snowed this weekend. I have to confess to being more than a little concerned as the roads in my sleepy Kentish town became practically impassable;  I was due to photograph the wedding of Rob and Felicia on Saturday. Fortunately I made it through to East London without problem as many people had heeded the advice to stay indoors and make only essential journeys only; well weddings are essential aren’t they?!

Sunday, my day of rest, was my only opportunity to get out in the snow with my own kids. I did consider offering mini sessions but you know, sometimes pleasure should overtakes business. So I took the very small window of opportunity I had for some alone time with my eldest plus the nifty fifty, and we raced to the nearest snowy lane about 200 yards from the house. My girl is so pretty but makes for an unwilling model, for me at least. The promise of hot chocolate however works wonders to dissipate stroppy facial expressions, and these are the stunning results.
