I adore photographing bumps and newborns. It’s such a special milestone in your lives, it deserves to be documented properly.

Little Avery’s Mum and Dad got in touch with me to capture her very first professional portraits at their lovely home in Bromley. She was so good, sleeping throughout allowing me to move her into a number of positions; we even managed the ‘frog pose’** as well as many other beautiful newborn baby photography portraits.

Newborn and baby portrait sessions are very relaxed, with a ‘go with the flow’ approach. I prefer to do these shoots in the comfort of your own home with you baby in familiar surroundings and creature comforts available. I provision a minimum of two to four hours for these sessions and I will work around the needs of you, your baby and your routine. Please don’t worry if baby is uncooperative, I am happy to wait until they’re ready, and if they’re not then I can reschedule.

Newborn Baby Photography – Safely Posing Newborns

** Important safety note; the frog pose should always be created via a composite image – where two or more images of baby being fully supported are taken and then merged together during the editing process. Newborn babies cannot support themselves like this and it should never be attempted by someone who doesn’t know what they are doing. I have a very useful Composite Image Board on Pinterest to enable parents and photographers alike to educate themselves in what is considered safe posing in the competitive world of newborn baby photography – you absolutely cannot put a price on your baby’s safety, please invest wisely in your choice of newborn baby photographer.
