It’s not often that my girl and I get to spend time together away from the persistent “Please can you play cricket with me?” demands of her little brother who always bats first; or having to keep a constant eye on her increasingly mischievous littlest brother who was last seen covered in Cherry Blossom boot polish climbing up the big slide and disappearing into the garden playhouse.
This weekend we spent a particularly girly day together, buying shoes and handbags before popping to a friend’s baby shower, followed by even more shopping; blissful! Satisfied she’d been bribed enough I persuaded her to come and pose for some shots in a local lavender field. Well I was driving and that’s where we ended up – she really had no choice in the matter.
As you can see, it was terribly hard work for her. She didn’t enjoy me making her skip, hop and jump through the flowers at all…
