Fun in the Bluebells – Family Portrait Photographer Kent

How disappointing was spring this year? My favourite season was washed out with rain, wind and more rain and so far summer isn’t shaping up to be much of an improvement. Unfortunately this weather and the low temperatures with it had a disastrous knock on effect for the usually vibrant bluebell season as well as my planned ‘Fun in the Bluebells’ photoshoots. What was supposed to be fun transpired to be anything but – for there’s little fun to be had in the wind, mud and rain surrounded by pretty flowers or not!

I did manage a few sessions – including this one in the bluebells featuring a real life Jedi –  thanks to a bit of luck, a break in the clouds and a hip-hip-hooray as the sun came out that day! Baby J, who’s definitely now in toddler realms, is a member of one of the families who have invested in my bump to baby scheme. His lovely Mum, Dad and I closely watched the weather forecasts and when there was the slightest hint of a suggestion that that big bright ball in the sky would put in an appearance we took our chance. How lucky we were; the rain held off, the sun peeked in and out of the clouds and these lovely images were in the bag! The heavens opened about ten minutes after we had wrapped up the session, packed up and left the woods.

Baby J, you are adorable and I am so very glad you are not fearful of me(!) or my camera any more…
