One of my favourite places to go with my own children is Knole Park in Sevenoaks which is Kent’s very last medieval deer park. The park is a beautiful setting and is quite spectacular to visit in autumn as I did with Nicola and family for their mini family shoot back in October.
We took a stroll along the tree lined Duchess Walk which takes you past Knole House, and then wandered into the surrounding woodland where there was an intimidating stag resting in the undergrowth who kindly let me take his portrait. There’s something quite majestical about the deer at Knole Park, they have become increasingly tame over the years so it’s not unusual to be able to get quite close to them, albeit quite unwittingly at times!
Little Matthew was also happy to have his photo taken by me, and since I last photographed him at three months old he has started walking, talking and sharing smiles that are bigger than ever. It’s always so lovely to see how much babies change from one shoot to the next.
